However, I will be doing a weekly romp through the Minnesota blogosphere beginning this Saturday. My hope is that I can continue to provide the snark once every week.
Comments on this change are welcome from all 6 people who actually read this crap!
that if they will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them." -Adlai Stevenson (1952)
In the beginning, there was Eve.
Then, for a long time nothing happened.
Then, women got the right to vote.
It has been all down hill from there!
Second we need to engage St. Paul to redefine a new Minnesota Miracle that fits 21st Century economies and politics. It means fundamental reform (sometimes painful reform) for state and local unit of governments alike. Only then will everyone know the new rules so true innovation can take place. [emphasis mine]
I hope LaHood likes bike paths. Because he's going to get some damn bike paths whether he likes them or not.
If anyone has firsthand knowledge of Minnesota college faculty who are using their classrooms as an indoctrination center, please contact me by leaving a comment. Also, anyone who has firsthand knowledge of professors using intimidation tactics on students should contact me by leaving a comment. Only I can see your email address.
I’d be stunned if indoctrination and intimidation aren’t commonplace on university campuses. It’s time we started pushing back.
I know I use my classroom as an indoctrination center ALL THE TIME. In fact, I even indoctrinate them into believing that indoctrination is the only way they should learn and if they aren't being indoctrinated then they really aren't learning.
Jeff Rosenberg agrees with Newt Gingrich? Will someone please take away his liberal card? Come on, bipartisanship can only go so far!
When will people realize that Jesus was obviously NOT dark skinned. I mean, he was born in the Middle East and people in that area of the world are known for their milky white skin! When will the wholesale oppression of the white man end?
It's a twofer from Gary Gross! Two republicans win in republican areas and a republican wins in a democratic area because the Democrat is as equally corrupt as say, Tom Delay, Jack Abramoff, Duke Cunningham, Bob Ney, Don Young, or Ted Stevens. The conclusion? Democrats are going to lose from now on because the momentum is over! As usual, Gary will be hoping in one hand and...
Some lady named Katherine Kersten is whining about people not liking her and such...
Dear sweet mother of god if I have to hear or see one more conservative whine about the fairness doctrine that no one else is even discussing, then I believe I might start a crusade to bring it back just so they will actually have some facts to back up their ludicrous claims.
Gavin Sullivan is trying to start a fight with Chris Truscott? Guys, don't you remember the first rule of fight club?
Last, but certainly least, Leo Pusateri has something to say about something that is really pissing him off right now. Let me take the liberty of a translation: "liberals bad, Bill Clinton, blah, blah, blah..."
1. Twitter is good for you and all the cool conservatives are using it...
You can even give one to your liberal friends and have them spend some time with you on the range. Most liberals have never shot a gun and thus fear them. Maybe if they understood guns better they wouldn't hate them so much?
Wyoming legislators supported Bright and Lee's bill because they thought it would win the territory free national publicity and might attract more single marriageable women to the region.
Our members have plenty of hope
The reality is that opportunity in America is not a simple binary choice between unlimited possibility and total victimhood and dysfunction. It's a complex, shifting continuum.
The Alliance gives Minnesota an “F” for not being a right-to-work state, having a minimum wage higher than the federal minimum, having greater union membership than the national average, having prevailing wage laws, collective bargaining rights and other laws it defines as restricting “worker freedom.” [emphasis added]
With that new, but old, label comes the glorious chance to define "Democrat." Yes, there will be individual differences in each candidate due to a unique set of values, but let's let the candidates explain their own stance. What we need is clarity and vision for the party.
I sincerely apologize to Sen. Clark for taking her statements out of context.
There seems to be a major mental disconnect in Washington over just who is defauting on all of these mortgages. People like me who rent to the masses know exactly who these people are, they are mostly losers.
It is my distinct pleasure, as the president of Americans for Limited Government, to invite you today to become a key member of the exciting new conservative “bloggers central,” NetRightNation.com.
If we can find a few of those in the next few months, we will not need to change the way we vote in order to win. Independent voters are dissatisfied with the major-party candidates? Fine. Let's give them better candidates -- better Democrats -- who inspire them and remind them of what makes Minnesota great.
And leave out the IRV. We have enough problems figuring out how to count just one round of balloting.
Residual Forces is continuing the cleansing of the Republican Party by kicking out all of Governors across the country. Please, somebody make this guy the chairman of the party here in Minnesota! Seriously, it will be great.
Blue Man is back and already producing great stuff about legislative pay. Welcome back, Hal!
Mississippifarian has a wonderful mash-up of rantings ranging from living wages to Bristol Palin.
Aaron Brown at Minnesota Brown is obviously in favor of keeping Jim Oberstar in his role in the Congress rather than nominating him to be Transportation Secretary. I tend to agree...
We have a massive budget debate coming. This patchwork approach that has overshadowed the discussion is not solving our budgetary problem. It is time for big ideas on Healthcare. Time for broader solutions on revenue. Time for a comprehensive transportation approach.
Budgets can't keep thinking about the short term. Minnesota's past strong economic engine was based on forward projections and inclusive ideas.
We need more of that, now more than ever.
This is the United States, it is a Union of States. States can choose to join, logically they also can choose to leave. But of course the issue isn't about what is right or logical. Rather, like most problems in the world, it is about power. If States could choose to secede, it would lessen the power of the Federal Government.
But a study published in Health Affairs in November 2006 estimated that 25% of the uninsured were in fact eligible for public coverage,
