It has always been the purpose of this particular political blog to voice my perspective (and my perspective alone) on various political issues and people across Minnesota and sometimes beyond. The purpose has not been to become famous or to become wealthy, although those things are and might be nice.
For that reason, this blog has far exceeded my expectations as there is a small, but loyal, readership that for some odd reason feels that my opinion and perspective is worth a visit. I have come to enjoy blogging for those readers and for the sheer relaxation.

Poll: Most Americans don't read political blogsBy Ellen Wulfhorst
NEW YORK (Reuters)
A majority of Americans do not read political blogs, the online commentaries that have proliferated in the race for the U.S. presidency, according to a poll released on Monday.
Only 22 percent of people responding to the poll said they read blogs regularly, meaning several times a month or more, according to the survey conducted by Harris Interactive.
Is that the percentage of the population as a whole or the percentage of the population that is politically active? Had they polled the politically active population, I would imagine that this percentage would be much higher.
One interesting piece of information within this poll was this tidbit:
The generation most likely to read such blogs are those age 63 or older, 26 percent of whom said they do so. Also, 23 percent of those ages 44 to 62 read them, the poll said.
At first glance this doesn't appear to make a whole lot of sense, but on further examination it speaks to the political activeness of that particular age group. Therefore, given their over representation in most elections, I would say that a larger number than most people think check out political blogs for information.
