Blue Man has been relentless in his quest to shine a light on Elwyn Tinklenberg and his consulting (or should we call it lobbying) past. In his newest post, he brings out some DC Watchdog groups that think perhaps Tinklenberg should be registered as a lobbyist.

As usual, kudos to Blue Man:

Craig Holman, PhD. Public Citizen

The evidence presented here strongly suggests that Tinklenberg has met the threshold of a federal lobbyist:

(1) Receives compensation of $5,000 or more per six months
(2) makes expenditures of $20,000 or more per six months
(3) Spends at least 20% of his time on behalf of any single client conducting lobbying activity.
(4) Made more than one lobbying contact with a "covered official" (member of Congress).

Since there is some evidence that the threshold has been met, it is appropriate to file a complaint with the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House, requesting that they investigate the matter. You may also want to copy directly to Tinklenberg for faster action. You will probably see him scramble to register and disclose.

Glad you guys are on this.
Unfortunately, I have not had near enough time to give this story the attention and care it deserves. Fortunately, the work of both Blue Man and Eric Zaetsch has more than compensated for my lack of attention.

Geez, there seems to be a lot of Democrats whose underwear is too tight. My advice, don't shoot the messenger. Elwyn Tinklenberg is the easiest name to Google. Try It. You will find a lot about this man EXCEPT the Tinklenberg Group's web site. At Tinklenberggroup.com:"Web site coming soon. Please check back." Hmmm. My suspicious mind tells me there may be some scrubbing going on.

Please, this is a baseless attack and accusation of a great man.

Elwyn Tinklenberg has build roads for this state.

Elwyn Tinklenberg made light rail happen.

WTF has Bob Olson done? For that matter, WTF has Blueman, Eric Z, or yourself done?

So he didn't file some paperwork. BFD.

Get out of your parents basements, out of your shanties, and get a real life.

Get off the back of a Minnesotan hero.

    Good day sir!

Well, anonymous, I will not even begin to address your characterization of myself, Blue Man, and Eric Zaetsch as poor people living at home with our parents. However, if this is the type of support Elwyn is getting, those who would attack the poor, then I am not entirely sure he is working for the right party.

Also, if the charges levied by Blue Man and Zaetsch are so baseless, perhaps Mr. Tinklenberg could just come clean about his activities and thereby mute us naysayers.

    Good day to you, sir/madam?

Well anon, what can I say. I guess I'll take a little joy in the fact that our collective efforts make your day just a little bit worse. Nothing like exposing the party's anointed candidate on a daily basis.

I'll say it again. Some call the exposure of Tinklenberg's lobbying ties "unfair". The only thing unfair here is the fact that our delegates have not gotten the full and complete disclosure they should have gotten, if their ultimate goal is defeating Bachmann.

That said, I don't have to rely upon an "anon" tag when posting something about someone. As a former Infantryman, I have the integrity and moral courage to stand up and fight for what's right. And if you can't figure out who Blueman really is, you're issues are pretty deep buddy.

Why don't you educate yourself on Tinklenberg's MnDOT past. His era was wrought with wasteful spending. Do your homework my friend. If you look at this stuff with an open mind, you'll be amazed.
