A letter in the St. Cloud Times wonders why Michele would vote against our children yet vote for war funding in nearly unlimited amounts. Interestingly, Avidor over at Dump Bachmann has some additional info on the letter writer who is apparently a step-brother to Bachmann.

Letter: Why did Bachmann vote against our children?

Wouldn't you think with all the complaining Rep. Michele Bachmann did regarding the television commercial about her votes to fund the Iraq war verses supporting the State Children's Health Insurance Program, that SCHIP would bust the U.S. budget?

I learned the day Bachmann voted to sustain President Bush's veto of SCHIP that the 10 million children who would receive insurance for a year under SCHIP would cost less than 40 days of funding the Iraq war.

It puzzles me when politicians like Bachmann will vote to fund both the Iraq war and humanitarian aid that includes health care for Iraqi children, and then vote against insuring children in the United States.

Hey, I just ran across your blog when I was trying to figure out where I should go vote tonight in St. Cloud. Nice to see another liberal around. I grew up in MN a liberal, so go figure that one. :)

Actually, not everyone is conservative in MN, but around the St. Cloud area...ummm...yeah, you're stuck.

I'm totally subscribing to your blog now! :)
